Cruiser Multi Stage Project, Final Build

Here she is, painted, lubed, cleaned and refreshed.
Duane over at Chester Cycles did a great job as usual.
I replaced the Saddle and Grips with something more plush,
And rebuilt the rear wheel around a new Shimano Coaster Brake hub, and new spokes, since the old Bendix hubs are hard to get parts for.

Multi Stage project, update 2

It's been decided that the Caddy is going to be painted. Which means every thing comes off. 2 hours, some leverage, some hammering, some penetrating oil (but no blowtorch, thank you). And this is what we have.
Off to see Duane at Chester Cycles.
To be continued. Next up the wheels

Next multi stage project. Cadillac Cruiser

Part one. Before: This is a 50s era cruiser. It's owner bought it from her neighbor. Put some air in the tires and rode it for a few months this summer. It's been brought in for an "overhaul". I'll clean it up and see what I can do about the rust.

Have I mentioned...

How small the Travelers Check gets for shipping? Fits nicely in a 26x26x10 box. Cool stuff

Surly Traveler Check. Complete

This is it. The Brooks saddle and tape really look great. The black Rival components will be reliable. And the Velocity wheels will travel thousands of miles with little trouble.

Surly Travelers Check. Specced and ready to build

Been working with a guy on a commuter / traveling bike. This is what we came up with.
Good durable components(SRAM Rival) on a frame that folds in half (couplers).
Not in this picture: Brooks honey saddle & bar tape & wheels (to be built)
More pictures to come as build progresses
